Sinhala Typographers Meetup was another initiative by Akuru Collective. The event aimed at sharing knowledge among people interested in character creation in Sri Lanka. On this day participants were given the opportunity to raise their problems, questions, and ideas concerning typography in Sri Lanka. One such idea was to establish a platform for font designers to successfully and safely release their fonts.
The event took place at the W.A. Silva Museum on Sunday, January 27th, 2019, and was hosted by Akuru Collective, Mooniak, Fontlet, and the W.A. Silva Museum Foundation.
