Akuru Collective Knowledge Exchange brings together typographic experts, educators, and enthusiasts to foster learning and dialogue around Sri Lankan typography. Akuru Collective creates a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing, and our events explore diverse aspects of typography, from educational approaches to cultural heritage. We aim to advance typographic understanding and inspire a new generation of designers in Sri Lanka.

Letters.Lanka: A Platform for Creative Lettering

Letters.Lanka, an Akuru Collective project, invites designers and typographers to share their creativity in lettering, calligraphy, and illustration. Join us in expanding the Sinhala type community in Sri Lanka.

ATypI Working Seminar Colombo

Akuru Collective and FARU hosted the ATypI Working Seminar in Colombo on March 22–23, 2019, focusing on typography teaching in the region. The event fostered hands-on learning and promoted regional knowledge exchange.
